Mary Lee is a partner at HMF. Her practice focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, criminal defense, family law, and maritime matters.
Hank Williams Jr. once wrote a song, titled “Family Tradition,” in the Holmes family, the legal profession is a part of their tradition.
A native of Forrest County Mississippi, daughter of former District Attorney and legendary Mississippi trial attorney, Paul H. “Bud” Holmes, granddaughter of former Mayor and county attorney, D.W. Holmes, and granddaughter of the first female mayor of South Mississippi, Mary Lee Hardin Holmes, Mary Lee comes from a long line of successful and zealous legal professionals.
Mary Lee is no stranger to the courtroom; when she shows up to court, she shows up to battle. Mary Lee is best known for her passion in the courtroom, and intense personal investment in getting the best results for her clients.
Mary Lee is a proud supporter of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
Mary Lee is admitted to practice in all Mississippi state courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Mississippi and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, the South Central Mississippi Bar Association, and the Area Development Partnership.
Marcus is a partner at HMF. He was born and raised in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, but grew up visiting family in Hattiesburg often before he decided to make it his home. He is the son of Jerry and Margaret McLelland, both of Hattiesburg, and the grandson of the late W. Arlington Jones (attorney) and the late Charner McLelland, (McLelland's TV business owner) both long-time Hattiesburg residents. Marcus earned a bachelors degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, and a law degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a law student, Marcus held positions as a law clerk with the Capital Area Legal Services in Baton Rouge, LA, the US District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, and the Holmes Law Firm in Petal, MS.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Marcus lived and worked in Yokohama, Japan, for 3 years, for the Nova Company. He enjoys traveling and travel writing, and has traveled to numerous other countries, including China, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Australia, Russia, and parts of Europe.
Marcus is admitted to practice law in all Mississippi state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Mississippi. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, the South Central Mississippi Bar Association, the Mississippi Association for Justice, and the Area Development Partnership.
Marcus and his wife, Melinda, have two children, Reve and Cassidy. In his free time, Marcus enjoys coaching t-ball and soccer, and serving as a Cub Scout den leader. Marcus himself is an Eagle Scout. He and his family are proud members of USM's Eagle Club.
Cory is a partner at HMF focusing his practice on litigation and personal injury. He was selected in the American Association of Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40 in 2018.
Cory is actively involved in the community. He is the current President for Hattiesburg Area Young Lawyers Association. Cory was selected to the Area Development Partnerships 2017 Leadership Pinebelt Class. He currently serves on the governing board and grant committee for Partners for the Arts at the University of Southern Mississippi. Cory is a member of the Historic Hattiesburg Downtown Association and he also serves as a Commissioner on the Hattiesburg Historic Conservation Commission.
A native of Columbus, Mississippi, Cory received his bachelor's degree in business and entrepreneurship from The University of Alabama and his juris doctor degree from the University of Mississippi.
Before moving to Hattiesburg to practice law, Ferraez gained legal experience in the Division of Enforcement of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities Division of the Mississippi Secretary of State's Office.
Cory is admitted to practice law in all Mississippi state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Mississippi. He is a member of Mississippi Bar Association, South Central Mississippi Bar Association, Mississippi Association for Justice, and American Association for Justice
